Some Background Information on me.
I was born and raised in Colby, WI. I graduated from Colby in 1999, I then went to UW-Marshfield and onto UW-Stevens Point. I have a Bachelors Degree in History and Broad Field Social Studies. I did my student teaching in Merrill and my cooperating teacher was Dan Miller. I then took a long-term substitute teaching position in Marshfield and then a full time position in Glidden. When Glidden and Park Falls consolidated in became a part of the new Chequamegon School District. Due to some pretty substantial budget issues I was one of a number of people laid off from the district, but thankfully I was hired here at Medford.
I have been married to my wife Rachel for ten years, (She is a graduate of Abbotsford) and we have two children Makenna who we adopted from Mississippi who is eight and Cade who is six who we adopted from Oklahoma. I enjoy being active and have run numerous races, I have in the last few years participated in bicycle races and triathlons.
New for 2013 I'm now the High School Cross Country Coach, so calling all runners, hope to see you on the team. We have also brought back a home Cross Country Meet, it is held at the Black River Country Club and we will also be hosting the Great Northern Conference Meet this year.
New for 2014, I'm now a member of the RVA, I'll be teaching World History at the Freshman level.
New for 2015 I'm also teaching US History with the RVA at the Sophomore level.
I'm also in charge of the schools History Bee team team which is a buzz in style competition that allows students to compete on a national level. The last two years we have taken students to the national competition in Atlanta and Louisville, this year nationals will be Chicago.
